Transition to School Workshop
Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 6:30 — 8:00pm
Starting school is a big and exciting step for every child! When a child starts off life in the NICU, the idea of school entry for parents can also be a time of worry, stress, and wondering if your child is ready. We are offering this information session to go over concerns, questions, and steps to take to make the transition, whenever it may be, a success.
What to expect:
- Meet other parents who are also getting their child ready for school
- The session will cover: what “school readiness” means, highlights from the research about what we know about NICU graduates starting Kindergarten, and things that you can do now to get your child ready for school.
- Light refreshments will be provided.
Who can register?
Parents of children who are currently connected to Sunnybrook’s Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic.
Cost: Free!

Contact us by email (followup@sunnybrook.ca) or phone (416.480.6100 ext. 87722) to let us know that you are interested. Please include your child’s name, your name, your preferred method of communication (email or phone), and number of adults attending the session.
Spaces are limited. On-site childcare will not be available.
