The Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic is pleased to present:

Pre-Printing Skills Workshop

Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, 10:30-11:30 am


What to expect:

  • Parents/caregivers, prepare to get your hands “dirty” and participate with your child in a variety of hands-on activities including an introduction to the Handwriting Without Tears Program.
  • Come and discover how to “set the stage” so your child can print successfully.
  • Learn about play-based and day-to-day activities that prepare the mind and body for learning to printing.
  • By the end of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of how to help your child develop key skills for printing at home.

  • Are you a parent/caregiver and have a child between 2.5—4 years of age?
  • Is your child currently a client of Sunnybrook’s Neonatal Follow Up Clinic?
  • Can you child remain seated for at least 5 minutes at a time?
  • Does your child show an interest in paper and pencil activities?
  • Has your child been introduced to the letters of the alphabet?

Cost: Free!

Contact us by email (followup@sunnybrook.ca) or phone (416.480.6100 ext. 87722) to let us know your interest. An Occupational Therapist will contact you to discuss your child’s current hand skills and what you hope to learn to ensure this workshop is a good fit for you and your child.
